I received my first GSP in 1976 and fell in love with the breed.  I quickly learned that they can do most anything!  I was already active in obedience competition with my Irish Setter at the time, so I decided to try out confirmation showing. Fast forward I bred my first litter in 1979. This litter produced 3 show champions with one selected as Parent club show dog of the year in 1984. Since that time, and with very limited litters, I have Bred over 100 titled German Shorthaired Pointers, to include, Show Champions, Field Trial Champions, a Dual Champion, a National Field Trial Champion, And Purina Dog of the year. Many others attained Agility, dock diving, rally, Junior, Senior, and Master titles.

I have been a continuous member of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America since 1977.   I have served on the Board of Directors as the Southeast Director as well as numerous committees, to include The National Specialty show executive show committee, the yearbook committee, and Health & Welfare committee. I worked with Purina for over one year to increase the Parent Club Participation (weight circles) which resulted in additional funds to our club and our health and welfare monies.

My professional resume includes working at BellSouth, AT&T for 43 years.  I held various positions during this time; however, the last position I held for 26 years as a Service Consultant was a job I truly loved.

For the entire state of Alabama, I would Design, implement and manage all the Voice/Data Networks and equipment project requests for E911 customers in each county in Alabama.  This would include management of entire projects of a county going from basic 911 to enhanced 911, a timeline of three years.   I was Responsible for the successful integration and connectivity of the 911 wireless networks within the E911 Center.

I assisted my sales team with the sales of our AT&T E911 equipment, from the initial meeting to the full installation of the Call takers positions. I successfully coordinated all levels of management and craft personnel across all departments of BellSouth, AT&T, Vendors and Independent Companies as required to include the coordination and implementation of the entire Voice and Data network and the various E911 equipment components required.
